Privacy policy
Effective October 6, 2026
This policy explains what information VT Freedom Sales, LLC d/b/a VT CYBER (“VT CYBER,” “we”) collects through vtcyber.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Client services are covered by each client’s written agreement.
Information you give us
When you send a message or request through a form on this site, we collect what you enter: your name, organization, email, phone number (optional), the topics you check, and your message. If you take the cyber check and then send a request, we also receive your score and the list of gaps. We do not receive your individual answers.
If you call, text, or email us, we receive the information you share in that conversation.
The cyber check
Your cyber check answers are processed in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored unless you choose to send a request form after seeing your score.
Information collected automatically
- Form records. When you send a form, we record the date and time, your IP address, and the page you came from, to prevent spam and abuse.
- Campaign tags. Some links and QR codes (for example, on our printed materials) include a tag that tells us where you found us. We store that tag in your browser for the length of your visit and include it with any form you send.
- Server logs. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time, for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential storage. We store your cookie choice and the campaign tag described above in your browser. These are needed for the site to work as you expect and are not used for advertising.
- Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are visited and whether a visit came from one of our QR codes. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms.
How to opt out: use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page and choose “Opt out.” If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.
How we use information
- To reply to your message or request
- To provide and improve our services and this website
- To protect this site against spam, fraud, and attacks
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site and our business, such as our web host, our email provider, and Google Analytics unless you opt out, and when the law requires it.
Text messages
If you text us, we reply from the same number. We do not send marketing text messages.
How long we keep information
We keep form requests and messages as long as needed to respond, serve you, and meet business and legal record-keeping needs, then delete them.
How we protect information
This site uses encryption (HTTPS) for all traffic, and access to form records is limited to VT CYBER staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information with the same practices we use for our clients.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information you sent through this site. Email info@vtcyber.com or call 802-393-4478. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is for businesses and public organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
