Service-disabled veteran-owned small business

Vermont-based. Veteran-led.

Proven DoD experience, sized for Vermont. VT CYBER is a die-hard patriotic company protecting American small businesses and towns from cyber threats. It is who we are!

The VT CYBER team
VT CYBER

Hackers don’t care how small you are. We do.

Ryan Sanderson founded VT CYBER in 2016 and ran it alongside his federal cybersecurity career for ten years. In 2026 he left his full-time federal role to run VT CYBER full-time.

Driven by a lifetime of service to his country, he built VT CYBER so Vermont small businesses and towns get real protection, not just IT support. For Ryan, it’s personal.

Today we bring the standards used to protect federal networks to offices, stores, inns, town halls, and defense suppliers. We explain it in plain English, and you always know who you’re talking to.

He was team leader for the Vermont National Guard’s response to the UVM ransomware attack and served on the Guard’s Defensive Cyber Operations Element (DCOE).
