Accessibility

VT CYBER wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology. We designed and tested this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we do

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Pages use proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and buttons meet WCAG color contrast requirements.
  • Forms have visible labels and plain-language error messages.
  • Pages work when zoomed to 200 percent and on small screens.
  • Animation is turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • We check pages with automated accessibility testing and by hand with a keyboard.

Known limits

The illustrated requirement grid on our CMMC page is visual. The same information, every requirement family and its count, is provided in text for screen readers.
